After weeks of drought and 90+F weathers it's finally RAINING! My garden thanks the thunder god for his gifts!

When I got up this morning it was 56F. There is some good to be found living in Kansas.

Try living in England where people start wondering what a giant ball of fire is doing in the sky when there's no clouds for a change. Same could be said for when it snows just a couple of measly inches and the entire country grinds to a god damned halt... lol

Haha I remember when BBC sent reporters to Helsinki airport to investigate how we could function with efficiency and almost no flight delays when it snowed And I moved to the tropics from that.

I'm sure you and Robillard will get along splendid.
I am loading up my Nook with Memory Palace and Welcome to Night Vale podcasts to listen to at work. I prefer to have something to listen to when doing tedious crap, but my coworkers constantly mute the overhead speakers because they apparently can't stand to hear the same mix of music day in and day out. When they bring their own music in, it is pretty much constant (current) country or a slight variation of what is playing overhead that they hate so much.

Sargai is either going to kill us or our buddies. I met this lovely lady yesterday while relaxing on my deck.

Had a brief dream of my grandfather while nodding off at the computer this evening. I'm wide awake and doing something on the computer one moment and the next I'm a thousand miles away, sitting on one of the tall stools in his shop. He's there, tinkering, chastising me for falling asleep where I could fall over and hit any number of things.
Then I'm back. Awake. And he's gone.
But, of course, he's been gone for months now and I realize that being chastised by him, even if none of it is real, marks the first time I have heard his voice in four years.

I bought a sandwich maker last night and let me tell you, as someone who has ready access to a nightmare kitchen (four kids who know how to cook to some degree but don't know how to clean) and better sense than to use it, eating something hot that didn't come from a microwave is amazing.

Consultation for my (hopefully) final surgery is tomorrow afternoon. Not looking forward to what the doctor has to say but hey, at least I finally get some answers.
Oh, and, Captain? Make me a sammich, would you?

I'm bored and sad and eagerly awaiting the return of my "work chat husband". My friend went to Montana for a while and is no longer around to amuse me when I'm bored at work.

I have been cooking cinnamon rolls and watching romance anime for the warm and fuzzies. I am truly the manliest of all men.

Hey guys, been missing all of you (Yes, even the orc). Still no internet at my house, but hopefully we'll have it by the end of August. For someone like me not having internet is the equivalent of being alone in the Alaskan wilderness. XD
