So, who bought the new audio book of the collected short stories? I did, and though I haven't listened to it, I can't wait to hear the story Ice-T reads! And Felicia Day, and Tom Felton, and...wow! I'm so pleased for Bob!

For those not in the know, you can pick up the star-studded audiobook of R.A. Salvatore's short fiction collection for free over on Audible. Euphemism has listened to them all, but hasn't bothered discussing them beyond a throwaway line on some random post. She should probably take a break from gaming and do so. I have downloaded them all, but haven't listened because I have a difficult time listening to audiobooks. After a few minutes I will just tune it out. Robillard did send me over to SoundCloud to listen to samples of each one though. I am most interested in listening to Danny Pudi's performance of That Curious Sword; his role as the DM in Community's D&D episodes were great and from what little I heard, he does bring some of that over. Greg Grunberg, who I don't remember all too fondly from NBC's Heroes, reads another of the Entreri stories and sounds as though he has been chain-smoking and downing whiskey nonstop since the show ended. Euphemism mentioned that Duchovney sounds hilariously bored throughout. I should probably try and give it a listen. Also, probably going to change the name of this thread to indicate the title, so forewarning I guess.

I listen to music pretty much through Spotify, but I'm cheap and won't spring for the paid accounts and that means I have to listen to ads. One of the ads this evening happened to be for this book. Ice T gets top billing. I think this is the first time I have ever seen or heard an ad for a Drizzt book. Seems like Audible is really making an effort to push it.

The more people who discover Drizzt, the better. Even with it's current popularity I still think it's one of the most under appreciated book series of all time. It deserves to be far bigger than it is.
