In the book Rise of the King, at the end of Part 3 "Boil" - the second to last paragraph:
"If we measure victory as a condition better than what was in place before the conflict, then there will be no winners. Of that I am certain."
Anyone have an idea what this means? Is Drizzt saying "there will be no winners" even if it means things got better? Maybe just because the conditions are better, that is not enough for their to be a winner? Or maybe there are never any winners?

Uh, I have read all the Drizzt books and I don't remember that line, I'll reread that chapter so I can answer properly.
