Shadow of the Winter King by Erik Scott de Bie. I really enjoyed Ghostwalker back when I enjoyed those sorts of books, so I figured I would give this one a shot for old time's sake. Plus, it is the de Bie's first (as far as I know) published non-Realms book. Even if I end up not liking it, I am sure that Euphemism will.

Good luck with Lord Foul's Bane. The main character is probably the most unlikable character that I have ever read.

Thanks. I've heard good things about the series, so we shall see. Picked it up for $1, though, so even if I don't end up liking it, I'm not out too much money.

Butcher Bird by Richard Kadrey. That's a good one. Riddled with spelling errors (trade paperback from Night Shade Books), but a good one nonetheless.

Yeah, I picked up the Kindle version, since it was only $1.99. Haven't read it yet, but I've read a couple of his Sandman Slim novels and enjoyed those.
