A thread for our intrepid shoppers. If you happen to noticed a good deal, post it here. Macmillan eDeals - You can either bookmark that site to make return visits or sign up for the newsletter, whichever you are more comfortable with. Macmillan is the company behind Tor and various other genre and non-genre imprints. Of the books on that list, I recently read and really enjoyed Wide Open by Deborah Coates. I wrote a short review for it, which I will spoiler below, but, long story short, I recommend it. Like I could skip a mystery with ghosts and magic set in the Midwest.
There is a pervasive awkwardness in Wide Open, something shared by the characters that shines through in their relationships–be they with friends, family, or love interests–and is never more evident than in dialogue stilted by distance and defensiveness brought on by the strain of death, change, and history. It was something I found grating while reading but this far out, months after having finished, I can appreciate it for how well it was done. Most everything is well done here, save for a romance that is a little quick and a little creepy and obvious from the start. Wide Open is a great book. Read it if you haven’t. Gollancz's April Digital Deals - For those of you in the UK. Their debuts sale is pretty awesome, though I don't know anything about the books they currently have on offer.

I don't know if this is really the proper place to post this, but figure it's still a deal...
A lot of people don't realize that many public libraries will loan E books. EPUB and Kindle are usually supported.

Macmillan eDeals has updated. If you are a fan of horror, I'd recommend picking up Nevill's Last Days. I haven't read it yet or even heard of it, really, but I just finished another of his novels, The Ritual, a few weeks ago and it was at least 75% great. I couldn't finish Gladstone's Three Parts Dead, but I imagine that a few of you would take far more interest in it than I did. Especially Avelyn.
