Would anyone be interested in doing a play-by-post campaign? I don't think there's a dice client on these boards, but we could always do it on RPOL. I've been trying to play D&D seriously for like. 8 years. I have yet to ever have a chance to actually play. It's... extremely depressing.

I'd be happy to add a dice rolling feature for you if you'd like. I believe I can even add a few other things you might find useful... NPC post functions and that sort of thing...

That'd be awesome, if anyone else is interested. Like I said, even though I've read pretty much every rulebook from 3.5 on, I've yet to actually play. I'm DYING for a chance.

Well, if people want to do it- I'll get you all set up with whatever you need. Good luck! (I might even join in myself!)

I've always wanted to give D&D a shot, just never got around to it or could find a group willing to take in a newbie. I've even created around eight different characters. I just get my D&D fix from the novels. lol
That being said, I wish you luck and hope you find a group!

I've only met a handful of people in my area who play table top games and they had really bad attitudes so it sort of turned me away from it. I've owned the three core rule books for 3.5 along with the Book of Vile Darkness, Psionics Handbook, and the Eberron Campaign setting so I understand a lot of the basic terminology. I've always been interested in getting involved in a casual game so as long as nobody minds taking on a newbie, I'd like to give it a go.

I think the first game should probably be newbie friendly anyways since it would be the start for a lot of us. (I myself have done free form forum role plays and actual table top, but never table top on a forum...) So why don't we form a beginners group? Take it slow, learn how, have some fun and go from there?

I've never seriously played any tabletop games like D&D as they always seemed too intimidating (Complicated), but this would probably get me into it. I'll keep an eye out for any further developments on this.
