Hi folks, it is your friendly neighborhood Sargalicious. I'm back again, having fought my way through the grasping hordes that act as the living embodiment of my apathy. I am here to make sure that none of you come close to dominating my post count. I've worked hard for that post count and I am not going to let something like disappearing from the board for months on end ruin it. That would be... that would be inexcusable and I would never be able to forgive myself. If that were to happen, I may as well just fall into the arms of my apathy and let the inevitable come to fruition.
The point is, that I am back. For now. For a while? I don't know. You people need to post. I mean, what is the fun of having the highest post count if I don't have to batter you people away from my reign as king of this barely known message board?
That's... that wasn't the point. The point is that I am back and I am posting and I am cleaning things up a bit. I have locked down the old multi-page entertainment threads and started fresh because those conversations and posts or general ramblings were months old and no one cares about them anymore. You still have to deal with my titling, but I have shown some restraint. I would like to merge the Entertainment and Books/Tabletop forums together, as the latter gets ~half of the posts the Entertainment forum does and having more stuff in one spot might help to keep traffic flowing--Robillard might even be able to find some of those nifty tags like we have for the other entertainment threads to better organize things.
I think one of the problems with the Drizzt discussion is that a lot of just aren't reading the new books. Many of us have surfed on over from the other board and some of us stopped reading them while we were still active over there. If we want Drizzt discussion to continue, then we need to get some new blood over here to discuss the books. That means that some of us need to read them. I'm not volunteering. I know that sounds bad for an admin over here, but we all know that I am pretentious and overly critical and no one wants that when it comes to these discussions. I have no problem with this being a community shooting the breeze about whatever instead of having a focus, but that makes the name up top mighty weird.
I think we may have mentioned this before we all disappeared, but we are on the lookout for moderators. You know, people who are willing to stick around and not only maintain the forums but also drive conversation and maybe, maybe even pull in some new users.
So yeah, I'm back. I'm around. I'm posting. Why not join in and make it feel less like I am talking to myself?
