As the title implies, I've created a new ranking system for everyone. You'll note that the admins are now Dungeon Masters, the global moderator and moderator ranks are Ancient Dragons and Dragonlings (and they're hiring!). General members can now expect to see their rank change when they reach certain milestones. |

I've always hated ranks. It encourages people who are only interested in their rank, and seeming more important than they really are, to start a dozen new threads that really have no meaning, and argue with anyone and everyone who tries to contribute to those threads. I was hoping that people on this board would engage in conversations and contribute to threads they really cared about, whether it was 100 times a day, or once every month or so. If someone with a low rank tries to contribute to a thread, they are often greeted with scorn.
Just my humble opinion, backed by experience with people like...no, I guess I can't name names, can I? But I would wager you know who I am thinking of.

But I would wager you know who I am thinking of. The ranks don't have privileges or anything. There is no reward for spamming. Its just cosmetic and for fun. Our rules prohibit spamming and the admins reserve the right to edit post counts if we detect any post BS is going on. Besides, this Forum will not fall victim to the same potholes as the last. I absolutely refuse to allow that. |
