More mash-ups! Sorry about this, but I am fond of them. How about some Nicki Minaj and... The Proclaimers!

I've enjoyed listening to Two Steps From Hell. It just epic instrumental music.

I've been really enjoying "Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge" by Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish. It's obviously based on Don Rosa's The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck stories.

Spent a good bit of yesterday listening to Broods, though it was more of an accidental/lazy sort of thing. I rather like Bridges, which is what has been playing on the radio lately, but the rest I am pretty meh on.

Was listening to my playlist while unpacking and discovered my computer likes Vocaloids. It's a Japanese vocal program that sings with sampled voices. I can't really understand the word (not really fluent in Japanese) but the songs are interesting, especially the story of evil, and I u understand enough to get the gist of it.

I've always been a huge Disturbed fan, so when I heard about David Draiman branching off to work on something called 'Device' I was very curious. Needless to say, I was pleased with the results, here's one of my favorite songs from the album they released...

Sadly since my move I have not had the hour and a half a day that I used to have to just chill and listen to music. I did however decide to listen to a Beersmith podcast the other day while peeling and chopping 5lbs of potatoes for homemade mashed potatoes (boyfriend was leaving for a month, figured I'd send him away with some good food). I also have been listening to Eric Church a lot when I have time. Something about him just allows me to relax while taking a bubble bath.
Or my other favorite...

I'll probably listen to the rest of the album, but I have a hard time seeing a point when Draiman's voice is so recognizable and there is no significant difference in style from Disturbed. I get working on other stuff, for whatever reason, but a voice that distinct against music that... isn't... just throws me. I had the same issue when the lead singer of Mudvayne fronted HellYeah.

Orcs don't have any rights. (Says the hypocritical Tiefling Control Wizard) I just noticed this. How dare you. I knew an elf who held similar feelings. Well, Obould knew him. Lol Anyways! One of my favorite songs. Even fi you don't like rap, it's at least worth looking up the lyrics. Very well done.

I've been listening to UNKLE. Just realized that they have had an EP out for four years now that I haven't listened to.

I'm currently listening to Deference for Darkness from the Halo 3: ODST soundtrack. It's one of the best video game pieces ever composed, and it's what I usually listen to when writing. It's one of the perfect pieces to explain how Martin O'Donnell really captured the feel of darkness and faint hope that is ever present in the pre-Halo 3 (Lore wise) games. I still can't believe that the Activision people fired such a great composer from the company he had been a part of since the beginning. Another reason to hate the big publishers. www.youtube.com/watch?v=a70h0cX8AMMI recommend listening to the song with this in the background: www.rainymood.com/
