Here's a place to just say "hello," for both new and old members.
Anyhow, most of the older members already know me, but here goes.
My name is Shan and I've been an R.A. Salvatore fan for ages. Pretty much read them all, except the newest one, as well as Tarzan and the novelization of Star Wars Episode 2. Can't recall how long I've been going to the old board, but it's been since at least 1996 or so. I'm a father of a 23 month old, which takes up most of my time these days. Guess that's all I can think of right now.
Hope I didn't step on any toes by creating this thread. Just figured we could use one.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling! Sorry for the slow progress on the board so far...
I guess I'll jump on the wagon...
My real name is Danielle and I've been RAS fan since reading the excerpt on the back of the Crystal Shard when I was a high school freshman. I started late, but I caught up fast- Drizzt and his companions got me through some nasty trials and taught me again of the joy of reading that I had lost.
I'm 28 years old and I'm currently a Computer Administrative Support Specialist, Site Developer, Secretary, Receptionist and Advertising Liaison for a small group in my home town.
I've been a quiet member of the official board for a long time but many of you won't remember me or have met me. I joined long before the advent of yuku, but I'll be damned if I can remember the year...
To date I have read every Drizzt novel with the exception of Night of the Hunter and the last few chapters of the Companions (which I intend to finish as soon as I find the time to sit down and do so) including all of the short stories. I've also read the big three from the Corona line and would like to delve deeper into it as well as a few other sets.
I guess the most important thing I'd like to say here is thank you to everyone who is giving this board a shot and to everyone who has supported Bob over the years.
This is a great community and I hope to serve you all well.

I have been around for just shy of a decade and most of you by now know me as Sargai and some of you know me by my real name, Mr. Sargai. I became a fan of R.A. Salvatore during my sophomore year of high school, when I stumbled across a miss-shelved The Dark Elf Trilogy and thought it looked interesting despite the wrinkly old men fighting on the front.
I will be perfectly honest and up front with you all since many of you already know, but my relationship with the SFF genre over these past few years have been tumultuous. I have drifted away from the genre that I once loved and am exploring the fringes and outside of it... and I am afraid Salvatore's works have been negatively impacted by this transition. However, I have been a member of this community for a decade now, I have made friends and found love and I owe a debt to Bob for renewing my interest in both reading and writing. I haven't gone anywhere yet. I doubt I'll go anywhere any time soon.
And hey, if you are looking for something to read and don't mind dealing with sneering pretension come track me down.

Does anyone really want/need me to introduce myself? *sigh* Okay, then, pay attention please, as I hate to repeat myself.
*quick goes back to the thread "Beginner's Guide to Our Collective Dysfunction" that Kammi started on the board (Yuku version) to see what I said last time I had to do this.*
I am Marge...the Ancient and Venerable One. I've been on the RAS board since...well since forever it seems. I used to contribute a lot more, and spent hours in chat with other old timers, many of whom have left these (those?) hallowed halls. I lurk a lot these days, jump in a conversation when the spirit moves me, but I don't have a lot to say any more. All talked out, I guess. Spend most of my time these days just trying to survive. Still trying to hold on to my fading dream of becoming a published author. I think Bob Salvatore is an enormously gifted writer and I love to see other people's opinions on his current works, but - like I said - I'm all talked out. I don't contribute much anymore. Age and tenure have given me the right to just watch and listen.

Hi everyone! My name is Kayla, I'm 26 and live in Utah with my husband and 2 year old little boy, so I'm not as active online as I used to be - mostly only in short bursts like what Facebook and Instagram allow. I joined the original site around '99 or 2000 and was pretty active when the forum in general was more active. Used to be this place (as well as Faerun through the portal of Bob's novels) was a home for me. I still hang around though cause I kinda like some of you guys. Being a mom takes up most of my time these days, but I also do some amateur art and design, as well as about a million other little hobbies, like needlework, music, and archery; I just don't read as much as I used to. Can't wait to see what the new community's like and to get to know some new people!

Euphemism here. Just call me Euph or Euphe for the sake of ease. I've been around for a while, though I drifted off into oblivion for a little bit. I went by another name on the yuku forums. Some of you probably figured out who I was on there, but for those who haven't, I'm not telling. You have to figure it out
I'm a bit of a freelancer. I do taxes from January 1st to April 15th, and then whatever else in the meantime. I like video games, though I tend to fail a lot at them. I love to read, obviously. I found Salvatore's works through a friend at the time and she basically talked about them enough that I got curious. I haven't read his Corona works, but it's on my to do list. I draw on occasion, but nothing too fancy. Usually my ability comes and goes and I spend the majority of time tossing pictures in the trash until I finally have the few that are worthy enough to be called "ok" and promptly hidden away from prying eyes. Writing is a major hobby, but like drawing it comes and goes. I've started more stories than I've finished. I want to eventually get published, but I'd actually have to let someone read my work and that's where I get stuck. I'm getting better at it. I've posted a couple stories here, but I'm not a big fan fiction writer and the only original story I've put up is here if you want to check it out.

My name is Beau and i've been a fan since about 1989 when i was looking for a new book to read after reading The Avatar Trilogy. I picked up a book that had a tough looking dwarf on the front with some other curious characters and thought, well, it's got a dwarf so it's probably going to be good. The Crystal Shard really opened up the door for me in the fantasy genre. I have thoroughly enjoyed the first 20+ years of mr Salvatore and i am very much looking forward to the next 20+ years. My absolute favorite book is Mortalis followed by The Silent Blade.

Greetings and Salutations!
My name is Rhiannon, but on the internet I go by Aeri. Currently 22 years old, though I feel like I could easily be in my 50's, and I reside in Texas. I've been reading Salvatore's books for as long as I can remember, and am honored to join this community. I own several copies of Homeland, Exile, and Sojourn and have a tendency to throw them [not so literally] at my friends to get them into his works.
Salvatore has inspired me to write, and I've been 'working' on a novel for a couple years now, though I got sick a few years back and it's become rather difficult to make any kind of progress on it.
I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hello fellow readers...
I got a posting from Bob today on FB and came straight over tojoin up here! he seems excited about this place so it will be good enough for me to come on over and join in!
I have been reading his Drizzt works for a number of years now! and that means the complete paperback series, up to book 3 of the Companions! I have still got a few to go before that chapter comes to rest! I have started to load and read all books on my Kindle that I got for Christmas! its costly rebuying the books but I love reading on my Kindle! I love having all my books together!
I have just finished Transendence which was the last one in the list that I had! does anyone here have the complete chronograpy for the Demon Wars??? before I go back to Drizzt I want to get this series completely finished! I really love this world, I didnt realise that this world is entirely of Bobs making! not spin off just pure Salvatore! Its a great place and has brought me hours of pleasure and excitement! laughter and fears!
I hope that this board becomes the success that Bob thinks it will become and I look forward to reading his views on here...
Oh and thanks for letting me in!

My absolute favorite book is Mortalis followed by The Silent Blade. Welcome to the boards, Beau! I must say its nice to have some Silent Blade fans in here! I own several copies of Homeland, Exile, and Sojourn and have a tendency to throw them [not so literally] at my friends to get them into his works. Glad to have you with us, Aeri! Nice to know I'm not the only one who throws books at friends! Dragon King took a prologue to the face and has been hooked since~ We have a few other writers here as well, perhaps we could all share a bit of writing sometime? I hope that this board becomes the success that Bob thinks it will become and I look forward to reading his views on here... Thanks for giving us a shot, Steve! I'll see what I can do about finding you a chronological list for the Demon Wars series, I seem to recall having one stashed away somewhere... It was quite an honor to have Bob message me earlier that would be willing to give us a shout out- I actually put down the Companions and ran to check facebook haha! He really is an amazing guy and he attracts some of the best people I've ever met. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

I'll grab a quick listing of DemonWars works for you, Steve. It should show up in the Corona section in the next little while.
Welcome everyone!

Hey guys, I'm Kaytin. The Forgotten Realms really weren't something that interested me until recently. I started reading Drizzt last fall (But I have finished up to Gauntlygrym) after being referred by my brother. I immediately fell in love with the lore and the characters. Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and I hope to have some great discussions about Drizzt and many other Salvatore books!
