Hey guys, I'm Kaytin. The Forgotten Realms really weren't something that interested me until recently. I started reading Drizzt last fall (But I have finished up to Gauntlygrym) after being referred by my brother. I immediately fell in love with the lore and the characters. Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and I hope to have some great discussions about Drizzt and many other Salvatore books! So glad your brother introduced you to the Realms! Love your avatar and signature, too, by the way. Tempted to custom title you as a Gutbuster Bwahaha!

Haha, thanks. Honestly Pwent and Athrogate are some of the best characters in the book just out of sheer entertainment value. They're really amazing and definitely my favorites.

Well, that sells it. You've just become an honorary Gutbuster.

Hi! My name is Aileen. I'm embarrassed to have to admit I'm probably old enough to be the mother of all of you- not cumulatively though! Ha! I live in Canada, but not one of the good parts I'm the mother of 3 wonderful girls!! I became a fantasy novel fan about 5 years ago, with RA's being the first and most I've read. Drizzt pulled me in- and the rest is history! I may not get here very often, but I'm hoping this will be a place I can get info when I need it?? (For instance I'd appreciate a list of the Drizzt books in order from first to last- no matter the series!) I already see comments about books I haven't read, but will, so that's fantastic! Hope to have the opportunity to chat, and wish you good luck with this site!!

I haven't used a forum in a long while! So this should be fun to meet new people!
Anyway, I'm Joshua and I've been reading/collecting RA Salvatore's work for a good 12 years now. He's inspired me a great deal to start writing my own stories, and I'm eternally thankful for that. The books he created will stick with me for a very very long time.
Besides reading alot, I am huge into music, not just listening but playing/writing music and collecting it I am also a gamer of different hats, anything from Warhammer too good ole JRPGs of the past. I hope thats enough info on me haha, if not just ask!

Hello all, I am Phil. I went by Xain on the other RAS board. I used to go there a lot, but kind of got turned off by all the negative bashing of new members bring up old topics. I hope this new board does better. We have to keep in mind Bob's books are reaching out to a whole new generation of people who have just discovered them. What may seem old news to some of us that are long in the tooth is brand new to others.
I have been a RAS faithful since the Crystal Shard came out first publication. Bob has been my favorite author ever since. I have read most all of his books, except for the Star Wars ones. I love Drizzt, Elbryan, DelGuidice, Cadderly, the BoulderShoulders, Oliver DeBurros, the Highwayman and the list goes on and on...
Hope to have some good discussions here with every one.
By the way I found out about the new board from Bobs FB post.

Look forward to chatting with some people that actually get it. Welcome to the board RA! Glad to have you with us! It's always great to find a community that shares the same interests :) I may not get here very often, but I'm hoping this will be a place I can get info when I need it?? (For instance I'd appreciate a list of the Drizzt books in order from first to last- no matter the series!) I already see comments about books I haven't read, but will, so that's fantastic! Thanks for the well wishes, Aileen! We'll grab and updated list in chronological order for you shortly (short stories, too!) and get it posted asap :) Welcome to the family! I haven't used a forum in a long while! So this should be fun to meet new people! Hi Joshua~ Welcome to the board! Feel free to start to topics about any of your awesome hobbies! I just started getting into tabletop RPGs and miniatures and all of us are music fans, too! Maybe even share a bit of your writing...? Looking forward to getting to know you! Hope to have some good discussions here with every one. By the way I found out about the new board from Bobs FB post. Welcome to the other side, Xain~ You might recognize a few face here from the other board. We pretty much picked up and moved to get away from the drama the previous board had accumulated and to give everyone a place where they could talk about anything- new or old. You'll notice we structured the forums a bit differently to allow people to have discussions based on where they are in the reading without flooding the discussions, so we can actually have active threads about anything without stepping on the toes of those who have already talked about everything. Making this place accessible to people from all stages of their journey was a major goal when we first decided to create this board~ Very glad to have you with us and thank you for giving us a shot! It was quite an honor to have Bob give us the shout out on FB totally made my day haha

DragonReader here. Just stumbled on the site when I saw RAS's facebook post. I am always interested in a good discussion on books. I don't always contribute much, but I always enjoy.
I have been reading RAS since about 1997 and have read pretty much all of his Drizzt books (I have Night of the Hunter but haven't read it yet), the Demonwars saga + Highwayman (I have the other books in the Saga of the First Kings and plan to read them soon), and the Crimson Shadow series.
I am a fan of he Forgotten Realms and have in the past read alot of Dragonlance and Eberron as well. I tend to read alot of fantasy and mysteries and the occassion scifi.
Looking forward to lots of great discussions here.

Intrepid. Started reading R.A. Salvatore books around my junior year of High School, 3 years ago. My dad has been reading them since the late 80's, the beginning of the series. And my brother has been reading them since the early 2000's. So luckily when I began reading Forgotten Realm novels all of the books were available to me. So I could marathon them as I saw fit... Which I did. My grades that semester took quite a hit. I was finishing one book in like 3 days. I would often lay in bed reading till 1 AM with a flashlight in my hand. It was crazy.. And that is how I became a Salvatore Addict. I've read the entire Legend of Drizzt series, all of the Cleric Quintet, War of the Spider Queen also, all of Salvatore's short stories, and I've read the 2nd book in the Crimson Shadow series. Anyway. I think that is it for me...
