I don't think my better half would like it if A) I had lady parts B) they started killing message boards...

Guess you have to blame the death of message boards on something. It may as well be the untouchable creature of myth and legend they've feared and lusted after for so long.

Well here goes...
I'm Carcer. I read my first R. A. Salvatore book, The Crystal Shard, back in the deep mists of time. Although I enjoyed it, I didn't really fall in love with Salvatore's books until I read my next one, Homeland. By the time I got to the end I of Homeland I was hooked. I became less interested some years ago, after I had finished the Paths of Darkness Trilogy and began to look into reading The Hunter's Blade Trilogy. I hadn't come to dislike Salvatore's writing, I just needed something different. In fact, Spine of the World was one of my favourite fantasy books written by R.A. Salvatore.
I recently became interested in Salvatore's writing again after I started to read online about the newer stories of the COTH. I'm looking forward to reading The Hunter's Blade and The Sellswords Trilogy and even newer stuff.
I found this place after going to R. A. Salvatore's Yuku Messageboard. I wanted to see how people there were doing and I discovered that new messageboard had been created by Sargai and Robillard. Since members of the other messageboard had migrated to this one, I decided to look for it and register as a member.

I also find it sad to see what has happened to the yuku board. I read Servants of the Shard as part of the Paths of Darkness tril/quadrlogy (?). I'm going to read it again for Sellswords. If the rest of Sellswords is anything like Servants of the Shard, I'm sure I will enjoy it.

Hey guys, my name is Michael and I've been reading R.A. Salvatore since I was probably about 12. My brother at the time was reading them and I had wanted to read the same things he did, and thus started my journey with what was to become my favorite author of all time. Currently in the military, about ready to get out and continue my education in computer science.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I enjoy reading the threads here, much wittier than the things I'm used to reading on forums. It's nice seeing a bunch of writers and literature fans writing, not just people that like car stereo's.
